Jewish variation of the Rome cuisine is considered one of the most interesting. Its main invention is pickled artichokes – carciori alla giudia. You may try them in this cozy restaurant facing Synagogue. Food (both fish and meat) is very good.

Osteria del Ingegno

The best time for visiting this restaurant is with the coming of darkness when the columns of St. Adrian’s church are lighted and the restaurant’s signboard is projected to the pavement. Inside there are red walls, shelves with bottles on them, bunches of dry flowers and friendly waiters. The menu here changes almost every week (justifying its name dell Ingegno, i.e. inventive). Here is also a wide choice of salads.

It is the first and the best vegetarian restaurant in Rome. The walls are decorated with pictures and the remaining spaces is occupied with flowers. On Sundays a pianist plays.
